Esta's Cranberry Salsa

A sweet and spicy holiday must have appetizer

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz uncooked, fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup green onions
  • 1-2 fresh jalapenos
  • 2 TBLS cilantro
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 TBLS lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 16 oz cream cheese (whipped)

Instructions
 

  • Use hand food chopper to chop cranberries. (not ideal to use food processor)
  • Chop green onion, jalapeno peppers, and cilantro. Add to chopped cranberries.
  • Add sugar, lemon juice and salt and stir gently.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Strain extra liquid before pouring cranberry salsa over cream cheese.
  • Spread over Ritz crackers or Wheat Thins and enjoy!
